Everyone can relate to tangled cord frustration when they confront a knot of headphones, USB cords and cell phone chargers.
Spring-loaded and totally automatic, Recoil Winders is the first-of-its-kind cord cleanup product giving consumers a solution to tangled cord clutter.
Recoil Winders’ efficient and time-saving retractable design ensures cord protection and organization in homes, offices and for people on-the-go. Check out this 30 second video to see Recoil Winders in action and how they solve the problem of tangled cords:
From Kickstarter dream to business success, Recoil Winders is changing how people tackle cord cleanup. They are available in small, medium and large sizes and come in five colors. Combo packs are also available to purchase and come with a Recoil Rack to hold the Winders. They are awesome gifts to give to students or as stocking stuffers this holiday season.
I received media samples of Recoil.
The Small Recoil Winders are great for headphones, earbuds without mics, iDevice cables and most USBs.
The Medium Recoil Winders are super versatile, designed small enough to fit in a pocket and store a wide range of mid-size cords, such as USB cords, earbuds, larger headphones and chargers up to 4 feet long.
Designed to wind longer cords, Large Recoil Winders are ideal for cords that accompany laptops, tablets and phones as well as gaming cords – plus, it still easily fits into pockets, purses or laptop cases. This winder neatly winds long cords and cables up to 6 feet into one organized small package.
I’ve decided after receiving my samples that I need more of these! 3 just isn’t enough with all the cords we have in our home. I’m excited to travel with them because it will be much easier to find and use my headphones and charging cords with them all nicely wound up, rather than tangling haphazardly in my carry on bag.
They’re easy to use, but read the instructions on how to retract your cords, you could end up damaging the tension in the spring loader if you pull and try and stop the release.
Recoil Winders cost $9.99 per winder, or $27.99 for a Recoil Combo Pack. Recoil Combo Packs either come with two medium winders and one large winder, or with one small, one medium and one large winder.
Recoil Winders are available for purchase at recoilwinders.com, Amazon.com, and other online stores and retailers.
I totally need this, we have so many corded items and it's such a problem here!
I so need this for my headphones!
Yes, where has this been all my life!
How handy! I would love to get a few of these, esp. for the cords needed for my battery pack that I bring on events!

Thanks for posting the video – that was so cool! I could use several of those in my house.
Now that's a great product. It's so annoying when cords get tangled.
I know that I throw my headphones in my purse and they often get tangled.
This does look like a really handy gadget to have on hand. I was looking at all the cords running from my couch stand to my couch. I won't even get started on my desk cords that are everywhere. I have never heard of this, but I'm definitely going to scope them out now.
I should get some of these. I have so many things that get tangled cords.
That is a brilliant idea, I totally could use a few of these for sure. It would for sure make less of clutter.
What a great idea for a stocking stuffer. These are great!
We have so many headphones laying around and the cords always tangle. This looks perfect for keeping them tangle free.
Love this idea, I am so tired of tangled cords!
I have a pretty similar gadget made by another company. It's helped SO much with my cords!
What a great idea. We have a drawer full of tangled ear buds. This would fix that problem.
It may sound strange, but tangled cords are one of my biggest pet peeves. Not only they can be an eyesore, but they're also a possible fire hazard. My husband needs something like this, as I've tried straightening the tangled mess behind his computer by binding the cords with velcro cable ties in the past, and somehow they've become a tangled mess, again. ~lol~ So, I'll definitely look into getting the Large Recoil Winders for him. 🙂
We have way too many cords lying around. I don't even know what half of them are for. It'd be great to use the Recoil Winders and get things cleaned up a little. I'm loving the bright colors!
Do I ever need this! I am notorious at tangling up my headphone cords.
