The CDC estimates that 1 in 6 people get sick, are hospitalized or die from food poisoning every year in the United States. I know I stayed away from cantaloupe last week, and you know it’s an issue when it makes its way into TV shows, like it listeria did on a recent episode of The Good Wife.

The leftover danger worries me. I recently found out that you aren't supposed to store crockpot leftovers in the crockpot dish as it doesn't cool down quickly enough. Eek!
