Win Master Lock Backpack Lock – Back to School #Giveaway #LSSS

This is a partnered post with Master Lock. I’m a member of Master Lock’s Live Secure Safety Squad and compensation was provided for this giveaway.

Just the other day we received an e-mail from the housing office at the University our daughter attends about her fall semester. As much as I’d like to delay it, back to school is right around the corner. Protecting our kids’ belongings and staying ahead of potential theft is something we should all put on our back to school ‘to-do list.’ Master Lock makes it easy with their selection of Backpack Locks.

Whether hanging on a classroom hook or stored underneath a desk, students’ backpacks and duffle bags not only contain schoolwork, but also valuable items, including smartphones, laptops, MP3s, money, wallets, etc. Securing your backpack or duffle bag with a lock, such as the Master Lock 1550DAST Backpack Lock will help deter possible theft, and will help provide added protection.

Master Lock 1548DCM Set Your Own Combination Padlock (SRP $7.66)

Master Lock 1548DCM Set Your Own Combination Padlock features a wide metal body for durability and the 3-digit set your own combination offers keyless convenience.

Take a look:

This quick video will show you how easy but effective the Master Lock 1548DCM Padlock is to use.

Since our daughter lives on campus during the school year, we’re always looking at ways to add safety precautions to her room there. We are constantly reminding her to keep her valuables securely stored to help protect against theft and other vulnerabilities. We encourage her to store her passport, debit card and other small important items in her Master Lock 5900D SafeSpace.

The past couple of years she’s relied upon a laptop lock which has served her well, but we’re looking into a SentrySafe PL048E Portable Laptop Safe to keep her laptop even more secure when she leaves her room without it.

  1. I would use it. I have a backpack when I travel and always wonder if someone behind me is doing so “shopping” in my backpack.

  2. My son could use this for his backpack. He takes his iPad and expensive phone to school everyday and I worry about them getting stolen.

  3. I would use this backpack lock. I like to use it when I’m traveling so it can’t be easily opened.

  4. My little brother! He is in High School now and 100% could use this! Thanks for the chance!!

  5. My children would probably use these for their bikes. We have quite a prolific bike thief in the neighborhood :'(

  6. I would give it to my oldest son because he is always hopping on a plane so he can see the world.

  7. My daughter is starting middle school this year. Since her bookbag must be left in a shared locker, this would be great for her to have to keep someone else from getting in her stuff.

  8. Definately my husband. He has this thing for padlocks. I don’t get it but they are all over the house “just in case” we need one. It’s an obsession!

  9. I do not carry a purse so we take a backpack everywhere. This would be for our family backpack.

  10. This would be great for my daughter who is going to college. I’m trying to get her more concerned about security for her belongings.

  11. My grand-daughter would use this. She starts High School this year (High School!!! OMGoodness!)

  12. I would love to win this for my teen aged son, who could definitely use this lock for school!

  13. I would use it myself…we have lots of people who get into purses at work where we have to keep them so it’d be nice to lock mine up!
