I don’t know how you all are doing with the New Year’s resolutions, but I suspect some of you have fallen of the band wagon with me. I was doing really well until the other night when we had a house showing over the dinner hour, so we went out to eat. Granted the food was really good, and I enjoyed not cleaning up my kitchen afterward but my decision making on the menu had something to be desired 😉 .

LEAN POCKETS® brand sandwiches, earlier this month, debuted a new soap opera “As the Pocket Turns” to bring a little entertainment (and extra help in the decision making « which I could have used the other night!) to the kitchen. The lead character faces a tough decision in the New Year. As viewers tune into the interactive drama, it is left up to them to choose the character’s own ending. At the end of the main video, viewers are encourage to ‘choose wisely.’

As part of the soap opera launch, the LEAN POCKETS brand commissioned a survey around making New Year’s resolutions and what choices Americans face when it comes to improving their lifestyles. According to the survey, conducted by independent market research firm Toluna, 1,000 men & women1 nationwide were asked if they had made resolutions, whether they could keep their resolutions, and what they wanted to resolve or improve most in 2013.

I got to sample a couple of the Pretzel Bread Products.

I had one of each for my dinner last night. They tasted great. I loved the Roasted Turkey with Bacon & Cheese, and practically inhaled it (I know not a good practice, but it was so yummy!). There was just enough bacon flavor to make it feel indulgent, but knowing that it was only 280 calories was blissful. I’m a huge fan of the pretzel bread, I love the flavor and the texture of it. The Grilled Chicken and Honey Mustard was tasty too, the honey mustard in it gives it a fresh punch.

When I fall off the bandwagon like I did the night we ate out, it’s good to know that I can get right back up on it and Lean Pockets Pretzel Bread sandwiches help me out in keeping the calories in a reasonable range and provide me with a good source of protein. If I had these in the freezer the day we went out, my whole family could have had some for a quick and easy meal with little cleanup and we could have walked the mall instead of eating out – oh well that will work next time!

  2. My sister went through cancer treatment and after the radiation and bone marrow transplant these were some of the items that she liked. One of the time I was helping her I had these sort of things and they were good. I would love to win to give them to her (as she still likes them) and to my family.
