So the holidays are right around the corner, and if you’re like me, you want to serve your guests gourmet food taste, without the ‘gourmet food’ work that goes along with it! Kim & Scott’s Gourmet Pretzels, I have to admit, made me pleased as punch when I served them for our guests last week. With unique flavors they are great to serve at holiday gatherings, whether it’s as appetizers, desserts or as part of a meal like we ate them.
These pretzels are delicious. They are the perfect size for adding to a meal of soup, or for dessert when people are so ‘stuffed’ they don’t have much more room.
Speaking of stuffed…that’s what these pretzels are. We got to try four of their varieties. Pizza, Grilled Cheese, Cheddar Jalapeño and Spinach Feta. Not only were we impressed with the appearance of them, but we loved the taste. Our guests showed interest in finding out where you could purchase them!
The only thing that had me worried, was that even with following the heating instructions on the box, the pretzels just weren’t warming up in the oven. They say from frozen at 350 degrees for about 6 minutes (or a bit longer). After 6 minutes our pretzels were still frozen. So I put them in the microwave, and they were soft, hot and yummy. Since my oven was still on, I put the next batch in for 12 minutes. They were still cold inside. Now twice as long as the instructions, is quite a bit longer…I’m thinking it would have taken at least 20 minutes or more to have these come out to a proper temperature to eat. Needing to put them in the microwave was not big deal, but it was a little embarrassing serving cold food, when having guests over.
Kim & Scott’s are always adding delicious new flavors, and the ones I listed are only a few of the many kinds they offer. Visit their website www.kimandscotts.com to see their latest ‘twisted’ creations as well as locations where you can purchase them.
