I have always had a problem with growing my nails. When I was younger it was because I would bite them (okay, well perhaps not just when I was younger). I also had some issues with some acrylic nails in my 20’s, where after I had them done my nails just became brittle and would always break when they got to a certain length. That had me ripping them off when I didn’t have clippers handy. I know, I know you don’t need to tell me how bad that is! And then I found nail wraps. Oh, I was in my glory. As long as I had them on, I was not biting or ripping and my nails were starting to grow back to an acceptable length (translation: not nubby stubs). But I soon found something out, not all nail wraps are created equal. After trying out a brand here, a brand there and yet another and another, I found that the only ones that were acceptable were the Sally Hansen ones. Ahem, but they are kind of pricey.
I had seen on other blog posts about Jamberry Nail wraps, and was intrigued, but after all the many I had tried, I had my doubts, simply because they are affordable. My many trials of nail wraps had me convinced that the lower the price of the wraps the less effective they were, and up to the point that I tried Jamberry Nails that was true.
A friend of mine on Facebook posted a picture of her Jamberry Nail wraps and her Independent Consultant Jenna Urban offered to send me a sample sheet so I could try them out myself. After applying some on my thumbnails and being fairly impressed with them, I had a few more questions and we e-mailed back and forth about sizes and placement and such and then she offered to send me some so I could do my entire set of nails to try them out.
Now I just want to let you know that I am not being compensated for this at all, but after wearing the Jamberry Nail Wraps for two weeks, I wanted to share about them if you aren’t already aware of this company and introduce you to Jenna, because she was so patient and kind about all my questions and truly wanted to show me what a superior product Jamberry Nails are.
If you’ve ever used a retail nail wrap, Jamberry Nail wraps are applied just a bit differently. You use heat when you apply them rather than just ‘stick’ them on right out of the package. Because of that way of adhering to your nails, they don’t dry out when you use only part of your sheet, unlike other kinds that do (because essentially the other kinds are just like nail polish once exposed outside their packaging). Jamberry Nail Wraps are a vinyl film covering that contain no chemicals!
There’s a bit of a learning curve to applying them, but it’s not too bad. Cutting and filing the wraps once I had them on my nails seemed to take the longest time, although I was starting to get the hang of it once I was at nail 8 or 9 ;).
Oh yes remember I said I’ve been wearing them the last two weeks. Well I have been…the SAME set I applied, two weeks ago! With very little wear on the looks of them. And that’s with showering, washing dishes, scrubbing the oven, making meatloaf, doing laundry, putting on lotion etc. etc.
Here’s what they looked like the day I applied them. (These are the Jamberry Junior Siesta pattern in a package with a complementary style called Swiss Dot that you can mix and match).
(Yes I likely should have shaped that center nail prior to putting on the nail wraps – but we’re all about being real here on the blog, and that’s how I usually roll when it comes to my nails. Sad, but true!).
Aren’t they pretty? When I arrived at our small group study, all the ladies were whipping out their phones to take pictures of them!
And here they are again one week later.
And two weeks later.
I think that’s beyond impressive with how long they last. Sure you can see that it’s time to remove them because my nails are now showing a lot on the bottom and a bit on the top, but the vinyl films themselves aren’t chipped or scratched.
They are really affordable too. Don’t let the $15 a sheet price tag scare you away because that one sheet will provide 3 to 4 manicures (depending on the size and length of your nails), each sheet of regular sized Jamberry Nail Wraps have 18 vinyl films on it.
They also come in junior sizes (which is the size of the ones pictured above, because I’m tiny y’all, my hands are really petite), which is great fun for a mom/daughter spa day with matching nails at home! The even bigger bonus of Jamberry Nails compared to the nail wraps I’ve seen in retail stores is the selection. They have over 400 different designs AND a Custom Nail Art Studio as well.
If you think you might be interested in trying Jamberry Nail Wraps, Jenna is offering the first 50 people to sign up a sample sheet (which is five vinyl films in different patterns, to get an idea of the quality and application of the wraps). Jenna can also get you set up a virtual Jamberry Nails party for you where you can earn some hostess rewards. You can also follow Jenna on Facebook.
You also might notice I said that Jenna is an Independent Consultant, and that’s because Jamberry Nails is a direct sales company. You can join Jenna’s team to make some extra money if you’re interested. It costs $99 (+ tax and shipping) to start. You get everything you need to do your first few parties, including catalogs and brochures. You must sell a minimum of $600 retail in one year to remain a consultant. Your own personal orders count towards your retail sales. In just 4 months, Jenna is making more money at this part time job then at her full time teaching job! The hours are flexible and you can work as much or little as you like. Most of the time is spent answering emails, sending out samples, sharing designs and setting up parties.
And as an aside – if you’re looking at getting Mom something ‘fun’ for Mother’s Day there are some Mother’s Day gift packages from Jamberry Nails that would fit that description nicely!

I have some to try but just haven't done it yet. I think I might like to sell them too!
Those look really pretty, so perfect for spring! I have not so great nails, I'm a biter, so this would help.
Oh those are so cute, I've been hearing good things about them!
Thank you for sharing this review and for providing the link. I am certainly interested in trying these out. I love all things nail related even though you can't really tell it look at my fingers that often.
Those look so easy to use and so much fun to wear!
I have heard of Jamberry nails but haven't tried them yet. What a fun print!
These Jamberry nails look great. I'll have to try them.
Woah!! I need to find someone who sells these — perfect for Mommies who don't have time to paint chipped nail!
Those are so cute! I've not heard of them, but my toenails could really use some enhancements.
Tonya,
Jamberry is fabulous on toes as well as fingers! They last up to 6 weeks on toes! ๐
These are super cute and the colors are very nice!
@Kait – feel free to order off of Jenna's page http://www.urbanmom.jamberrynails.net/ I'm sure she'd appreciate the business ๐
What fun designs – I love this! Even for my bitten nails.
Colorful but not sure I could get them on so they would look right. Guess I'll just keep polishing. ๐
Those look really cool. I don't know that I would have the patience to do it, but it is a great unique look!
Thanks Tammy for posting this great review! For those who are interested in the business end or looking for more information, please send me an email at iheartnailwraps at gmail.com. I would love to talk more with you. Those who are interested in trying the product, I will get the sample out to you ASAP!
I have heard lots of things about Jamberry nails, but never have tried them.
I love these, they look awesome and i have been reading a lot of great reviews on these
These look great and I can not believe they lasted so long! I am horrible at polishing my own nails, and even when I succeed, they last two days tops. Jamberry seems like a much more affordable solution than frequent gel manicures!
Wow there's no way I could have handled them on my nails that long. I'm a peeler. I did wear some cupcake ones for blogher last year. They were cute.
I haven't tried the Jamberry brand but I have tried others and they are really nice. That is a really fun print you have! I might have to try their brand sometime!
They sure do last a while. So cute, too!
That is really pretty! I wish my nails were long enough to use these, yet it seems like I'm perpetually "blessed" with short nails. ๐
Honestly, I actually prefer to wear when my nails are shorter rather than long. And bonus, they help your nails grow out! I never pick at mine when I’m wearing them. ๐
I do not like having to get my nails painted all the time, and these Jamberry nails lasted a long time. I think that they look cute on your fingers, and I would like to try these for Summer.
