Hot Chicks Nashville Hot Chicken NEW in DFW

The name says “HOT” and you’ll get an abundance of that, but delicious Boozy Slushies are also served at this highly anticipated hot chicken concept restaurant that is opening to the public in Plano TX on December 14, 2020.   

At Hot Chicks Nashville Hot Chicken, a new eatery in Plano, you’re going to feast on fresh chicken and other fare that’s made in-house daily.  You have a choice of different variations of heat – from ‘No Heat’ to ‘Hot AF’ — all with a humorous twist on what the level is all about:

Lots of non-chicken fare is available too, including: fries, slaw, rice, mac n’ cheese, pickles and desserts.

So my husband and I were invited to a soft opening tasting and received complimentary dining while there.  Hubby chose to have the Jumbo Tenders, which includes 3 crispy tenders, seasoned fries, pickles and bread.

My husband definitely lands in the “No Heat” category.  I’m not sure if there was some transference from my meal on to his, or whether the No Heat still has a kick, but he said there was some kick to his.  I’m sure it’s more just the seasoning in the breading on the chicken, but Hot Chicks knows their audience as the back of their menu fit him to a T “Where Grown Men Order of the Kids Menu.”  HA HA HA

I ordered the Nashville Chicken Tacos; 2 jumbo tacos, HC Sauce, slaw, pickles and fries.

The heat levels are given to you in advance with good reason.  I generally don’t order ‘heat’ infused menu options, although I’m not opposed to them.  So I hit up the Mild.  Umm.. let me tell you that was enough heat (and then some) for me 😉  Pretty sure my lips were tingling for close to an hour after we ate!  They were delectable though.  And when Hot Chicks says Jumbo they mean jumbo, we’re talking about very respectable portions.

Hot Chicks creative marketing means their drinks are classified as “Fire Extinguishers” and truth be told if your tastebuds aren’t up to the heat, your beverage will be exactly that LOL!  Unique Boozy Slushies and Signature Cocktails are ready to guzzle as well as beers, seltzers, sodas, ice tea and water.

While I thoroughly enjoyed my Chicken Tacos, the Boozy Slushie was the highlight for me, I had the “Not Nana’s Sweet Tea”.   It could be because I love sweet tea and booze and slushies.  So sweet tea and booze in a slushie, it spoke to me.  It also did help mitigate the heat from my chicken 🤣 (not gonna lie!).

So if Hot Chicken is your thing, don’t miss heading out to Plano when Hot Chicks opens.  The prices are reasonable for fresh food, and worth noting that their chicken is dairy and peanut-free and also halal.

It’s definitely a fun environment if you choose to dine in.  The tables have hilarious quotes on them, there’s a bank of fire extinguishers on the wall and they have multiple TVs that I’m sure are covering all the sports when available.

The dining area is a bit on the smaller side, but they are practicing great safety measures currently and they have a cute little outdoor dining seating as well as take out available if you prefer.
