We don’t seek out gluten-free products to eat in our home, but I do buy some occasionally. Sometimes it’s just because we like the taste of the product, other times it’s because we’re entertaining guests that eat exclusively gluten-free. In light of that I like to try new to me gluten-free products so I have a variety of ideas on what to serve when bringing snacks or treats or making meals for my friends.
Through Green Moms Meet I was sent a selection of ginnybakes gluten-free items for my family and friends to try. There was a number of items included; cookies, fruit & nut bars, and baking mixes.
ginnybakes is a family-owned company, whose passion is to create outrageously delicious and nutritious treats that everyone can enjoy. The founder, Ginny, is a holistic nutritionist, who believes that your body deserves only the finest ingredients, so she’s made sure that’s the only thing they put in each of their products. Members of their team work tirelessly to deliver a wide range of outrageously delicious cookies.
You won’t find any artificial ingredients in ginnybakes cookies. Every product from ginnybakes is gluten-free, organic, non-GMO, and kosher. They also offer a line of totally vegan treats.
I admit that we didn’t care for the bars so much. I’m not sure if it was the dense texture or whether it was the flavor. However, I will say they smell incredibly delicious when you open up the wrapping, so I was honestly disappointed that I didn’t care for the taste because they smelled so darn good!
ginnybakes offers a line of scrumptious chocolate chip cookies made with tempting dark chocolate.
The ones I made from the baking mix were soft and fluffy and had a good texture (many gluten-free products seem grainy to me – these cookies however did not). The mini ones in the single serve pouches were gobbled up quickly.
I also baked up a pan of the brownies. We brought them to friends’ home whose family eats gluten-free and they said they were very good.
The retail price for a 5.5 oz box of ginnybakes is $5.99, the price is the same for a case of their mini boxes. ginnybakes products are sold at Costco stores in the San Francisco Bay Area, Whole Food Market stores, and Fresh Market. They recently found their way into Stop & Shop, Giant, Martin’s, Big Y stores, and Peapod for those who live in the New York and New England region! Use the store locator on ginnybakes.com to find even more ginnybakes locations.
I received samples from the sponsor of the Moms MeetSM program, May Media Group LLC, who received it directly from the manufacturer. As a Moms MeetsSM blogger, I agreed to use this product and post my opinion on my blog. My opinions do not necessarily reflect the opinions of May Medai Group LLC or the manufacturer of the product.
I don't usually seek out gluten-free either but nice they have more and more alternatives especially like you said when you are having guests.
Usually I don't seek out gluten-free items either but I'm always on the lookout for new and tasty products for my family. I'll have to check this out and I'm so sorry that the bar wasn't all that tasty. To date, I haven't found a bar that I like but hopefully that'll change soon.
These look super tasty. I'd probably want to eat all of them in one sitting.
I like having gluten-free products handy for my family and friends that visit and are on gluten-free diets. These sound delish!
A lot of gluten free products are grainy so I am glad these are not. I love gluten free pretzels even more than regular ones.
