Did you know that 1 in 3 bottles of wine sold in the U.S. are from Italy?
Americans love their Italian wine and, if you’ve been to Italy (or dreamed of a trip), you know what it’s like to be in that Italian state of mind. Beautiful architecture, cypress trees, olive groves, art, romance, delicious food, and, of course, wine. Bolla Wines like to help bring you to that place, even if it’s on a Tuesday at home, with Bolla Wine and “Feel Italian.”
Bolla, the iconic Italian wine brand based in Verona, Italy, is partnering with other traditional Italian brands to help you “Feel Italian” when creating a delicious family meal. In grocery stores, you can find offers on Bertolli Olive Oil and Locatelli Cheese to put together a meal that will bring Italy to your dinner table.
I’m sure the Bolla wines are GREAT with dinner – but I’ll have you know that the Soave Bolla is fantastic with a late evening snack of garlic crackers and apple slices too 😉
Samples of Bolla Wine were sent to me for the purpose of this post.
The Bolla Soave 883 (SRP: $10) has an intense fragrance of flowers and pear. Harmonious and balanced with hints of lemon and acacia honey. Delicious! At $10 a bottle, this is a bargain 🙂 Especially good with a plateful of entrées, fish, chicken and of course if you’re like me…..just with some crackers and apples!
I’m saving the other two bottles for occasions. The Bolla Chianti (SRP: $9) which is medium bodied with notes of violet and fresh red cherries, is getting uncorked when an old high school friend comes and visits next month.
Bolla Prosecco (SRP: $13) with hints of apple, pear and peach and that is fresh and fruity on the palate with a lively finish, will be popped on the 16th of next month when my husband and I celebrate our 21st anniversary!
And for the real deal when it comes to feeling Italian, Bolla is running a Facebook sweepstakes for a trip for two to Verona, Italy, which includes RT airfare, lodging, and a visit to the Bolla winery. The sweeps runs now until June 2015.
Bottoms Up and Good Luck in the sweepstakes! How do you feel Italian?
