Relocating the family is one of the hardest decisions an individual will make in their life. Some areas require extra research before anybody comes to any final conclusions, whereas others present themselves as real contenders early on in the process. One such area of the U.S. that’s proving perennially attractive is the south of the country, where states such as Georgia, Texas and Florida continue to prove popular options for those looking for a different quality of life for their loved ones. Sometimes it’s just the better weather that motivates people to take the plunge, but new jobs and cheaper properties, are often implicated too. On that basis there’s little doubt that looking to the American south can offer all of these advantages and more.
Advantages of moving to Georgia
Georgia is famous for its hospitality and strong sense of community. It has everything that residents could need, from city life to country living. In some states, the houses for sale may be out of the reach of many; however, houses in Georgia are considered to be very
reasonably priced – particularly if the family is happy to live in a suburban area or in the country. The cost of living is generally low when compared to some other states, which makes it an attractive destination for those who are on a low budget.
Georgia has a moderate climate, with residents enjoying mild winters and very warm summers. The state also has plenty of good schools for the children, and families are welcome to visit at any they choose to see the facilities for themselves and find out how their children will fit in.
Considering Texas?
The southern state of Texas has plenty to offer those who want to move there. It is home to some of the largest cities in the US but there are also plenty of small town and country living opportunities. The way of life here is very much based on the outdoors, particularly for those who live away from the cities. Activities such as horse riding and hiking are perfect for the active family. Cities such as Austin offer a low cost of living, plenty of cheap real estate and work opportunities, which makes them ideal destinations for those who are looking for a new beginning.
A new life in Florida
When it comes to popularity, Florida is at the top of the list. Florida is the perfect destination for those who are looking for a relaxed lifestyle with plenty of beaches and fun, but there are also lots of towns and cities where families can settle. Property prices are currently quite low, and land for sale here is a good investment. Families who want to mix with other cultures will find that Florida is a great place to start. There are people here from all over the world, particularly in cities such as Miami. The pace of life in Florida is generally far slower than in other states and it is ideal for those who want to step away from the rat race for a while.
Each of the southern states has something very different to offer, and the final decision will depend upon what the family is looking for and its individual needs. Moving from one state to another is a big step, but it is one that can be very worthwhile and rewarding for the whole family if the right location is chosen.
Disclosure: This is a guest sponsored post that I was compensated for. Since my family is in the process of relocating south…I thought it fit well with my blog!
