Whenever someone brings flowers or a living plant into my home I cringe. Don’t get me wrong, I love the beauty of the blossoms and foliage and the color and life they bring to my living space, it’s just that I’m a plant killer y’all. Plants DO NOT thrive under my care. I’ve taken all the tips and tricks from people and the interwebs on caring for and maintaining plants, but I just don’t have a green thumb.
I still want that greenery in my home though, so for me silk plants are the perfect alternative. I already have a beautiful silk tree gracing my kitchen, but had an empty space in the living room that I’ve been wanting to fill. CommercialSilk.com sent me a Mountain Laurel Bush to complete that bare corner.
I was amazed when I pulled it out of the package at how real looking (and heavy!) it was. What was even more intriguing to me is that this plant, while perfect for inside my home, is also UV Outdoor Rated and made to withstand rain, wind, ice and snow! This particular plant is actually made from a resin material that resists degradation.
I’m actually considering the idea of getting a few more of these and putting them outside our house in our planter beds, because many of the real bushes we have are old and dying and don’t look very nice anymore. Since we live in an area that is currently effected by a drought and are under watering restrictions, these outdoor commercial grade plants would make our landscaping look green and beautiful all year round without requiring us to water them! Win/win I’d say, especially considering most people would never even realize that they aren’t real unless they would get up close to inspect them 🙂
If you are looking to add some life like looking plants to your office, retail space, or home, check out CommercialSilk.com to see what they have to offer. Whether you’re looking to add greenery or floral to an inside or outside space, they have many items in small and large sizes to fit your needs. I’m very happy with the Mountain Laurel Bush that is now gracing my living room space and giving it ‘life’ where otherwise there would be an empty corner. Plants and floral arrangements give just the right touch to making a drab space more welcoming and getting maintenance free ones means you need to worry less about keeping them alive and healthy and can just enjoy the ambience they give to the area.
I have to check out this site. I do have some silk floral arrangements, and that is all I can keep “alive.” I inherited a small African violet, and I was so sad looking at it this morning, I’ve read and done everything, but it doesn’t thrive. Silk to the rescue!
Oh I have to look into these! I do not have a green thumb….inside my house! We always do a container garden outside…and I really do well with it! But…inside…I seem to kill everything off. I am going to have to check into silk ones! I love the plants inside!
This is so awesome! I can relate to you because no matter what I do my plants always die to fast on me! This is the perfect alternative I need and it looks so REAL!
I have the same issues with plants. I am not good at gardening
I cannot keep plants alive to save my life. I never thought about getting a silk plant. I will have to check this out.
I do not have a green thumb either! But I want to get some really pretty green silk plants. I do not have any right now and these look gorgeous!
I don’t have a green thumb either.I love plants and flowers but I always end killing them.I do have a few silk flowers but these in the photos look so real.I will have to check them a little more.
I have seen quite a few silk plants that have fooled me for the real thing. I like the ones that have a rubbery look.
I don’t have a green thumb either.
I do have a green thumb and still think that looks incredibly real. Nice!
Oh my gosh, ain’t that the truth! I love artificial plants that are beautiful because I love flora in general, but I don’t have a green thumb either. The one you got is gorgeous!
I love having plants around the house but it’s depressing when I kill them! These look really nice.
