A while ago I saw an advertisement in a magazine for a book release. It was one of the books in the Debbie Macomber series Cedar Cove. I had never heard of it before and had not read any of them, but the cover looked interesting as did the synopsis. I decided to borrow the first book in the series from our library and liked it a lot. When I went to borrow the second book, I had to be put on the hold list because there was a wait for it. And then I found out the reason why…because Cedar Cove was coming to TV.
Because of conflicting shows on that my husband wanted to watch and DVR (sigh), I never got a chance to tune into to it when the first season aired. Fortunately for me it was released on DVD mid-July, and I received a media sample of it to view.

The second season of the fan-favorite series debuted on Sunday, July 20 on the Hallmark Channel.
I was completely captivated as soon as I started watching. Because I have read the first few books I of course was already acquainted with the characters, and watching made me want to pick up the books again. While my husband would describe it as a “chick flick,” it’s good wholesome entrainment, that I enjoy watching. The acting supports the great writing that Debbie Macomber breathed into the town of Cedar Cove and the characters and Hallmark Channel did a super job casting and producing it.
