Colortime Product Review and Give Away

Summer vacation is right around the corner and Colortime products would make an awesome addition to the rainy days that you might encounter where staying inside starts getting you the, “Mom, I’m bored” whines. I’m sure any kid would love to color their own t-shirt, pillowcase or bag!

These amazing, color – then use products, have many cool features:

• No preparation is necessary before coloring begins
• Markers are non toxic and permanent, but they will wash off hands
• Colors will dry quickly and do not need to be heat set
• Products can be used as soon as the ‘coloring’ feels dry to the touch
• and the colors are even chlorine resistant, so pool water will not affect the colors

The markers have a very long shelf life, and can be used again for other coloring projects. That’s a nice perk, so one should be sure that the lids are snapped tightly on to them so they’re ready for future use and not dried out.

Colortime products would be great for ( in Amber’s opinion since she’s the one that colored the t-shirt we received, and she colored a pillowcase at a recent Girl Scout event as well)

• or when ever you need to keep a kid busy (I think all moms would agree with that one…LOL)

The best part is they are very affordable. Products start as low as $3.25 a piece and the markers are $2.35 with 17 colors to choose from. These are decently made products as well, and we’ve already washed and dried our pillowcase a number of times, and the t-shirt once already and it looks like they will hold up well over regular use and many washings. I love that it’s a guided activity but kids can still express their creativity by the way they choose to color the product. The sizes of the t-shirts on their site are pretty accurate too. We received a Youth XL t-shirt and our daughter is 16 and about 5 feet and 100 lbs.

Just note that the markers are not included with the colorable items, you have to purchase them separately.

My opinion:

This a great activity for kids young and old and a good bang for your buck. Amber will keep her t-shirt for a good many years I know and she sleeps with her pillowcase every night. I love that the markers last a long time and we can use them for other projects too.
