Iron Man 3 Review and a Cafe Press Giveaway
Tuesdays after release day are generally the days we go to the movie theater to see new movies. Between my husband being off work Tuesday to Thursday since he works weekends and homeschooling, it allows us to take advantage of matinée pricing and empty theaters!
Today we hit the theaters to see Iron Man 3. I’ve heard mixed reviews from those that have already seen it, but we liked it. As the third movie in the series I was wondering if it would live up to its two predecessors, and I think it did.
Monsters University – New Trailer
In case you missed it last week, the new trailer for MONSTERS UNIVERSITY is now available.
Thor: The Dark World
Well I said yesterday, that the upcoming spring/summer season was going to be movie theater going time with all the entertaining movies coming out…I guess so will fall and winter LOL! This year has some big line ups. Another one by Disney coming in November is Thor: The Dark World.
Marvel’s “Thor: The Dark World” continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself.
The Lone Ranger – Trailer
Looks like this spring/summer season is bringing a lot of blockbuster movies to the big screen, and holiday weekends always bring out the big guns. Case in point – The Lone Ranger on July 3rd.

Iron Man 3 – Next Friday – Who Else Is Excited?!
Woo Hoo – Who else is excited to head to the theaters and see Iron Man 3? I know my daughter is (and maybe her dad and mom too!)
I’ll be heading home from out of town May 3rd, the Friday it opens, but I know it won’t be long after that (probably the very next week), we head to the theater to catch a showing of it.
Here’s a clip of Tony calling out Mandarin.
Earth Day: Wings of Life Educational Guide
Help kids prepare for Earth Day (4/22) with a special educational kit tied to Disneynature’s Wings of Life!
In celebration of the release of Disneynature’s Wings of Life, we are delighted to share an embedable 25-page educational guide, created by Disney’s Animal Kingdom Education Team, which introduces learners in grades 2–4 to the amazing and often unseen world of pollinators through science, math and art!
Disneynature’s BEARS
We use a lot of movies, DVDs and multimedia material in our homeschool curriculum. Our daughter is a visual learner and she retains so much more information and becomes more engaged with the subject matter if she can see, hear and/or touch it than if she just reads about it.
The Disneynature documentaries are a great supplement to homeschool curriculum. They are so well done and are appropriate for the whole family to enjoy. We’ve included both Oceans and Chimpanzee into our schooling and are looking forward to Bears, which will premiere in theaters Earth Day 2014.
