A couple of years ago we needed to invest in a new TV (okay needed is sort of an over the top word for a TV, no one NEEDS a TV, but you get what I mean…). My husband always on the forefront of technology decided we should get a 3D one. Back then it was quite a risky thing to do because no one really knew if this ‘at home 3D thing’ would take off, you could hardly even buy any movies for it then. Although we paid quite a bit up front for it, over the past few years it has actually saved us a lot of money because we rarely go to the movie theater anymore.

Disney’s FRANKENWEENIE is opening on October 5th, and I wanted to share some information about the FRANKENWEENIE MONSTROUS SWEEPSTAKES currently going on!

Today marks a day in the United States of memoriam and great sorrow. It’s slightly uncanny that on that day 11 years ago, a film crew was capturing the scene where 90 years earlier nearly 1500 people also lost their lives in a tragic event, the sinking of the Titanic. Over a hundred years later, we can see through the eyes of James Cameron and his friend Bill Paxton (who incidentally played the character of Brock Lovett, a famed treasure hunter that was known for searching for sunken ships for articles of value, in the motion picture Titanic) as they explore what remains of this luxurious ocean liner.

Ain’t No Party Like a BATHTUB Party!

The toys are back! Disney*Pixar’s brand-new Toy Story Toon, PARTYSAURUS REX, will run in theaters before FINDING NEMO 3D starting September 14th. This adorable short is directed by Mark Walsh, produced by Kim Adam, and is the third installment of Toy Story Toons.

Disneynature is the studio that has brought us many inspirational and informative films about the wildlife on our planet, including Earth, Oceans, and African Cats. It released its newest film last Earth Day, and now Chimpanzee is being released on DVD on August 21st for everyone to enjoy in their homes.

This movie follows the incredible story of a chimp named Oscar and his family as they travel through the African rain forest trying to survive.

I don’t know how many of you have been ‘keeping up’ with Shark Week over on the Discovery Channel, but if you have and you have children, I’m sure there has been many questions about them.

In the spirit of Shark Week, Disney’s best known sharks….Anchor, Bruce & Chum from Finding Nemo need to be told a very special message:

We never did get a chance to see “Chimpanzee” in the theater, and so I’m excited for the release of the Blu-ray Combo Pack (Blu-ray & DVD) release of this documentary on August 21, 2012.
