Aladdin Essential Infuser

Gift Guide Pick

Since I’m the only coffee drinker in my home, I love the idea of the Aladdin Essential Infuser.  This travel mug allows me to brew on the go.

This BPA Free double wall plastic tumbler, has a built in basket in the lid that you fill up with loose leaf tea, tea bags or coarse ground coffee, and then you lower down with the lever on the outside of the lid.

Other perks to the Aladdin Essential Infuser are that it’s microwave and dishwasher safe, as well as that it fits in your car cup holders just right!

This is a great upgrade to the previous travel mugs I’ve been using.  As long as I have access to hot water and have some tea or coffee with me, I can brew myself a fresh cup of coffee on the go.  I’m especially excited to bring it with me on our cruise next year, because the one thing I don’t like on the ship is their coffee (bah).  All I have to do is bring a bag of coffee, and I’m set!

The only downside I find to the mug is that the lid screws on a threaded lip.  That ensures a great snug fit so that there are no spills at the rim.  However, I find it difficult to drink very hot liquids out of a small hole, and even when on the go, tend to take the lid off when I drink my coffee.  (Obviously, I don’t do a lot of drinking while I’m driving, LOL!)  Drinking without the lid on though, is a little strange because of the threading.  But honestly, the pros of being able to brew on the go, outweigh that for me.

The Aladdin Essential Infuser comes in Chai (Blue) and Lake (Green) and is available at retailers nationwide and at www.aladdin-pmi.com for a msrp of $17.99.
