A Mom’s Wish

credit: empressofdirtHave you ever had one of those times where you wish you could do nothing but be in the backyard, in a hammock, looking out on your children running through the sprinkler and listen to them giggle and play, while reaching for your lemonade (that has a little umbrella in it!)?

Or maybe you’re more of a beach person, and would like to pack up the sunscreen and towels and build sandcastles and hunt for seashells with your kids everyday.

More of an indoor type of mom?  Would you like to have the time to curl up on the couch with a book and a cup of capuccino, or maybe have movie night with your family, every night, in front of a big screen TV with a tub of popcorn and some licorice?  Or maybe to have all the time in the world to blog?

Oh to have the chance to be able to do whatever it is that strikes our fancy with no worries about whether our housework would get done!  I think if more moms had someone to clean for them, they’d be able to make those wishes come true.

I’m more of an indoor mom (when I’m at home that is, I’m more of a ‘cruise ship’ mom when I get the chance!).  I’d love to spend more time with my family playing video games, watching movies or just blogging.  If I could have janitorial services come into my home, just one day a week, and do all my cleaning for me, my guess is it would free up at least an extra hour or two a day that I could spend with them, instead of the dirty clothes or dishes!
