What a way to put a smile on your kids’ faces. Special breakfasts like the first day of school, birthdays or other holidays can have a new tradition using the Toy Story 3, 5-in-1 Tasty Baker.

Filling the molded cavities is simple enough it comes with a batter scoop, but I found with the scoop that I was spilling over the edges, so I started using a spoon, and that seemed to work fine.  Getting them out is a little more difficult.  I have a bamboo knife that I used, to loosen and pry the edges up but sometimes I still squish them trying to get them out.

We’ve tried a number of different “batters” in our Tasty Baker, and think that the waffles definitely come out the best (although everything comes out ‘tasty’!).  You can make brownies, muffins or mini grilled cheese if you want, anything that could go on a grill or in a pan, could go in the Tasty Baker.  A number of recipe and idea cards come with the appliance to kick start your creativity.

You can see my “spillage” in the picture above, but you know, no one complained and it got eaten!  Rex never really seems to get a pronounced look to him, and for some reason, even though we use the same batter for them all, the Alien tastes the best .

Cleaning it isn’t hard, but it can take a bit of time.  There is a brush included to get in the corner of the molds.  I use the Grills & More! cleaner on it.  I spray it on leave it for a bit, and then wipe it down with a wet cloth, and that clean it up very well.  If there is still some batter left in the corner after that, I’ll use the brush on it.
