SONIC sent me a gift card to try the new menu offerings. Any opinions are my own.
SONIC has brought back their Lil’ Doggies and Lil’ Chickies lines of mini hot dogs and mini chicken sandwiches. And they’ve added some new flavors too!
The perfect size for a snack or for little hands 😉 The Lil’ Doggies are mini hot dogs in a little bun with a choice of 3 topping options, and the Lil’ Chickies are a crispy chicken strip in a bun, also with a choice of 3 topping options.
Lil’ Doggies come in:
Ketchup & Mustard – for the basic tastebuds
Chili Cheese – great combo just like it’s larger counter part on the SONIC menu. A generous topping of chili and shredded (melting) cheese.
Cheesy Bacon (new) – My favorite of the three. The cheese sauce was good but the star of the show is the bacon, and there is no skimping on the bacon considering the small size of these Lil’ Doggies.
These pint sized hot dogs have a great flavor and the buns were fresh and soft.
Lil’ Chickies come in:
Mayo & Pickles – There’s just something about this simple combination that compliments that chicken strip to give it a home cookin’ taste. You’ll have to refer to my group picture on top for this one, as I inhaled before I realized I didn’t take a photo.. yes it was that good 😉
Buffalo – For you heat seekers out there, a good dose of Buffalo sauce comes with this flavor.
Honey BBQ Bacon (new) – This new flavor is pretty good if I do say so. There’s a nice balance of sweet and salty with the sauce and the bacon. Much like the Cheesy Bacon Lil’ Doggie, the Honey BBQ Bacon Lil’ Chickie has a generous amount of delicious bacon on it.
Each Lil’ Doggie and Lil’ Chickie are $1.49 each and they are available for a limited time at SONIC. Affordable and full of flavor, these mini selections allow you to satisfy a craving without a full size meal or give you the chance to try a few different flavor combinations at once. I think the Lil’ Doggies and Lil’ Chickies are just the right size. Such a fun choice of flavors at an outstanding price for the quality.
