Snack Girl to the Rescue! Easy, Delicious Food for Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

I received an e-book media sample of this title for review.  Affiliate links are used in this post.

Lisa Cain’s book Snack Girl to the Rescue! is part biography, part nutrition guide and part recipe book – making it a good resource to make healthy and delicious food for your family.  You may recognize her name or the “Snack Girl” persona – yes she’s that “Snack Girl” from Snack-Girl.com.

Snack Girl to the Rescue! contains Lisa’s best advice on avoiding common weight-loss pitfalls, shopping healthier on a budget, and getting in shape.  The book includes 100 recipes under 400 calories that she uses herself.

I adapted and made a couple of recipes from the book.

I did substitute some ingredients due to our own preferences and ingredients I had on hand.  I know that defeats the purpose of the book somewhat.  On the other hand I found some new recipes to add to our meal plans that I was able to modify to our tastes and still kept them relatively healthy 🙂

If you’re looking for an encouraging book that will help your family eat healthier and lose weight, you may want to check out Snack Girl to the Rescue!

  1. Wow, it is hard to believe that those recipes have less than 400 calories, they look like things I would really enjoy eating!

  2. In a world of online everything there is something wonderful about a good printed cookbook. I plan to purchase a baking rack for our new home and fill its shelves with cookbooks.
