Shark Week Inspired Cocktail with a Toy Shark at Houlihan’s

Dun-Nun, dun-nun, dun-nun…as the official countdown for Discovery Channel’s Shark Week 2015 kicks off, Houlihan’s, an upscale American restaurant and bar, is channeling its inner shark and tapping into the Shark Week social media phenomenon by bringing back the ever-popular Shark Week inspired cocktail, #SharkandAwe, for thirsty fans.  Did you know Shark Week gains more traction than the hashtag #Superbowl on social media?!Shark and Awe Cocktail - Shark Week Inspired Cocktail - Houlihan's The Shark And Awe Cocktail is a limited-time specialty spin on the Long Island Iced Tea, made with vodka, gin, rum, blue curacao, fresh sour mix and garnished with an open-mouthed, take-home shark, will be served at participating locations from July 5-12,  or while supplies last.

You get in on the shark-tastic fun too!

Social Media Contest: Houlihan’s is giving away a ‘Jawsome Trip’ for two where the lucky winners will be invited to attend a ‘Jaws on the Water’ showing outside of Austin, Texas. Brave moviegoers will have the opportunity to view a special screening of JAWS on a giant outdoor movie screen facing the water, all while floating on inner tubes.  Shark fanatics can enter to win by replying to the Jawsome Sweeptakes question on Houlihan’s National Facebook or Twitter profiles, starting July 6.  The trip will include two tickets to the event, airfare, hotel and a car rental.  See official rules here.
