My husband isn’t much into ‘chick flicks’, as he calls them (usually while rolling his eyes). Sometimes though I can twist his arm to accompany me to one (if I promise him popcorn…). He did go see The Last Song with me a few years ago (although come to think of it, we were in the middle of the ocean on a cruise ship at the time…). This year though, I have my ace in the hole, and that’s because SAFE HAVEN from Relativity Media, well it opens in theaters February 14th; Valentine’s Day. He can’t say no to that, now can he?!
To be honest, usually I like to read a book first and then see the movie. But I haven’t snagged myself a copy of Safe Haven yet either from the library or on my e-reader, so in this case I’m willing to make an exception.
About the film
An affirming and suspenseful story about a young woman’s struggle to love again, Safe Haven is based on the novel from Nicholas Sparks, the best-selling author behind the hit films The Notebook and Dear John. When a mysterious young woman arrives in a small North Carolina town, her reluctance to join the tight knit community raises questions about her past. Slowly, she begins putting down roots, and gains the courage to start a relationship with Alex, a widowed store owner with two young children. But dark secrets intrude on her new life with such terror that she is forced to rediscover the meaning of sacrifice and rely on the power of love in this deeply moving romantic thriller.
Starring Josh Duhamel, Julianne Hough, David Lyons & Cobie Smulders.
Tammy Litke received a thank you gift for sharing this information with you.
So with all that said, thanks to Relativity Media I am giving away a $25 Visa Gift Card which you can use to buy tickets for you and your Sweetie to go see Safe Haven AND…the movie-tie in copy of the book (which like me if you haven’t read yet, you can do after you see the movie).
