When I received Robert Matthew’s Emily Tote* on my doorstep last week I was not surprised at all that the likes of Alicia Silverstone and Julia Stiles recognize the impeccable quality and appreciate the attention to detail that goes in to each Robert Matthew handbag. I fell hard for this bag as soon as I touched its soft, buttery material.
Now I’m not wealthy and don’t have a ton of money to throw around, but I do recognize that for certain items paying top dollar does get you a better product, and handbags seem to fall into that category. So I’m willing to spend more to get something that I know I’ll use, that matches a lot of my wardrobe and yes, something that will make others ask me where I got it 😉 And in this case the Robert Matthew Emily Tote is completely on point, and my recent acquisition of it in the taupe color completely fulfills all of my requirements.
While the tote looks like it’s made from leather, its actually handcrafted with Animal Friendly Faux Leather. It’s so soft and you wouldn’t be the wiser that it isn’t genuine leather. I’m not accustomed to carrying around super large bags for just everyday, but when I’m going to a blog event or traveling and need to carry more than a smaller handbag will fit, I need something bigger. This Emily Tote offers One Top Zip Divider Pocket, One Zip Pocket and Two Open Pockets in the interior and One Back Zip Pocket on the outside. Truth be told at 16″ W x 13″ H x 5.5″ D, it’s huge and makes a great personal bag for traveling to carry all the rest of your belongings, if you aren’t checking luggage and your carry-on is full.
This tote features a luxury, sophisticated pinstriped fabric lining, styled with Light Rose Gold Hardware and quality top stitching. It definitely works well for an essential wardrobe accessory.
