Play-Doh has always been a favorite pastime for the kids I know. The pre-schoolers especially love to play with it. And for all the years it’s been around, they keep coming up with new activities for the kids to enjoy. A factory, decked out with a conveyor belt, cutters and stamps of all kinds, keeps the kids occupied for a good while. Even those that have a shorter attention span! Our pre-school tester had fun with the Play-Doh Mega Fun Factory on a Saturday afternoon.
Play-Doh Mega Fun Factory is for ages 3 and up. Keep it moving and keep the fun coming with this awesome moving Mega Fun Factory conveyor belt set. Load your Play-Doh in one end and turn on your conveyor belt to stamp out pretend toys or food from one of the two gear molds. Keep your conveyor belt running and you can stamp out tons and tons of fun creations ~ it’s non-stop imaginative action.
* The Mega Fun Factory does require 2 ‘C’ sized batteries that are not included.
The Mega Fun Factory was simple to put together. Included with it is a playmat. There are places on the mat where the child can put their toys or food stamped from the gear molds.
The storage areas for the mini Play-Doh containers are a nice touch, that way everything stays together.
However, the small cans don’t really provide a lot of Play-Doh (each) once you’ve loaded it up to begin cutting and stamping (at least if you don’t want to be ‘mixing’ colors). You’ll probably want to have some larger Play-Doh containers on hand to prolong the fun.
Play-Doh and I have a tenuous relationship. I love it because of its ability to provide creative play for children. I am wary of it because I have had it ground into my furniture and carpet, only finding it after it has hardened and melded itself to the fibers. You will see in my video that I have learned over many years to cover my floors with a vinyl tablecloth to prevent that from happening. This ‘cautious’ mom was impressed with how easy the Mega Fun Factory was to clean. It comes apart everywhere it needs to, and if you get at it before the Play-Doh has a chance to dry out it’s quick to wipe out all the Play-Doh that get stuck in the nooks and crannies while playing. Hooray for that!
I think the most fun part of the Mega Fun Factory is the conveyor belt. When we were maxed out on playtime with Play-Doh, the conveyor belt provided more fun as it took building blocks down the line and into the bin!
Play-Doh Mega Fun Factory is available at retailers nation wide and at Amazon.com for an msrp of $34.99.
