Well summer is over, but that doesn’t mean we have to leave the tastes of summer behind right? I love the flavors of paradise – tropical fruits like mangoes and pineapples and some coconut too!
This might not be low fat, but it sure is delicious. If you close your eyes and sip this Paradise Milkshake, you might imagine you’re lounging beside the pool.
Paradise Milkshake
This is really easy to make, add 2 scoops of Haagen-Dazs Mango Ice Cream and a quarter cup of canned pineapple tidbits to your blender. Then add enough coconut milk to cover that. Blend until smooth, add a squirt of whipping cream and garnish!
Speaking of tropical fruits, and specifically mangoes, I heard for the first time the other day about the african mango diet. I guess there is a lot of talk about it because in the last year, Dr. Oz featured Irvingia (also know as African Mango) on his TV show. As I’m creeping up on the 40 year line (I’ll be 39 this November), I was very interested to learn that he called it a “breakthrough fix for women over 40.” With this though, you don’t actually eat the mangoes, rather you supplement with African mango seed extract. He also stated that “Studies have shown that it can help decrease weight and waist circumference.”
I haven’t tried this at all, and would ask my doctor first before taking any supplements (as everyone should!) – but it did sound interesting to me. Do you watch Dr. Oz and taken any of his recommendations? Have you ever heard of it or tried African mango seed extract to lose weight?
I watch Dr. Oz and like some of his ideas. Didn't see the show about the Mangos. I think I would rather have the Mango ice cream.
Mmmmm, that looks so refreshing and 2 scoops of ice cream isn't all that bad, right? 🙂
I love anything mango so this sounds like… paradise. 😉
That sounds pretty amazing! I'm a sucker for anything tropical!
Oh that sounds delicious. I have a recipe for some paradise pancakes I wanna make. I watch DR. OZ sometimes but not too often.
This sounds so yummy! I love mango, so I'm sure the ice cream would be delish!!
In addition, you might have more energy to play and be active during the day, which should translate into additional weight loss.
I'd love to try it, it looks delicious!
Mango always makes things better! I want some so badly now.
I still love a good milk shake even when it gets cold. This one looks and sounds SO GOOD!
From the looks of it, it appears to be rather tasty, I've never heard of the mango diet before, though I'm sure you could make a diet out of any nutritious fruit.
This sounds delicious! I love all things mango, it is so juicy and refreshing!
