P.F. Chang’s Chinese New Year Menu – #PFChangsWish

I don’t know that there would be much that would make my year better than opening up a red envelope and seeing this:

P.F. Chang's New Year

I could be one of the five lucky people across the nation that does.. you could be too!  Monday February 8th kicks-off the year of the Monkey and P.F. Chang’s is celebrating by hanging traditional Chinese red envelopes filled with free offers on trees near its restaurants.  Five lucky winners across the country will open an envelope with free P.F. Chang’s for a year!

P.F. Chang’s Chinese New Year Menu

The menu features six signature menu that symbolically represent the luck of the new year, including:

•        Sichuan Chili Garlic Chicken
•        Hong Kong Style Sea Bass
•        Long Life Noodles & Prawns
•        Butternut Squash Dumplings
•        Mandarin Cake
•        Monkey Mule (a unique twist on the traditional Moscow Mule featuring Monkey Shoulder whisky and house-made ginger beer)

I got to try a couple of things from the menu the other night at our local P.F. Chang’s thanks to a gift card that they shared with me.  I ordered the Butternut Squash Dumplings and the Long Life Noodles & Prawns.

Handmade Butternut Squash Dumplings

Hand-folded dumplings filled with butternut squash in umami butter sauce.  These were fantastic!

I’m usually a Crispy Honey Chicken girl when we go to P.F. Chang’s but this time I ordered the

Long Life Noodles & Prawns

It actually makes me a little sad that this isn’t on the regular menu 😉  I’m thinking I have to go back to P.F. Chang’s this month to make sure I get it again before it goes away.

But here’s where the Chinese New Year Menu at P.F. Chang’s really makes a difference.  Throughout the entire month of February, P.F. Chang’s will donate $1 (up to $100,000) to Boys & Girls Clubs of America each time someone shares their Chinese New Year wish on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter using #PFChangswish and when a guest orders an item off the limited-time Chinese New Year menu.  That’s worth visiting and trying one of the new dishes right there.  It doesn’t take much for you to do either of those things and the #PFChangswish that might be ‘granted’ to a boy or girl who needs it is priceless.

What do you think your favorite item off the P.F. Chang’s Chinese New Year Menu would be?
