As most parents will tell you, germs catching a ride home from school can be discouraging. It starts with sneezing, then the scratchy throat, followed by the runny nose and the watery eyes, and it seems just when one child finishes, the next ones starts!
But this 2012-2013 Back to School season, Lysol is committed to helping students stay healthy and keep those school absences down. On www.lysol.com/schools, Healthy Habits Lesson Plans and resource guides to common childhood illnesses are available for parents and teachers. These are great for homeschooling too. I really like one of the lesson for the oldest students, which has them cracking and creating simple codes to reveal healthy habits messages about hand washing and other smart ways to stay well all school year.
While you’re checking out those lesson plans, if you’re a teacher, enter for a chance to win $500 towards schools supplies for your classroom, and get extra chances to win if you submit a school supply list that features Lysol wipes. Hurry though you only have until September 14, 2012 to enter.
We all want to give our students a fighting chance…not the germs, but classrooms are often breeding grounds for bacteria. Did you know that studies have shown that germs can live on surfaces like doorknobs and desks for up to 48 hours or more?! Helping to stop the spread of those germs is as simple as disinfecting those classroom surfaces with a product like Lysol Disinfecting Wipes.
Lysol is the #1 Pediatrician recommended brand and has been trusted at killing germs that cause illnesses for over 100 years! Lysol is committed to fight those germs and keep school classrooms clean and disinfected.
Knowing the importance of improving the well-being and health of schools and students all across the country, Lysol maintains dedicated relationships with pediatric expert Dr. Laura Jana, the CDC, the Global Hygiene Council and the National Education Association, as part of the Lysol Mission for Health imitative.
With our busy lives, especially when school is in session, using Lysol Disinfecting Wipes in the classroom and at home, is a convenient way to help stop those annoying germs and bacteria in their tracks, and keep our children learning and playing with as little illness as possible.
I wrote this post while participating in a blog tour conducted by Burst Media on behalf of Lysol. I have been compensated for my time commitment to the program, but my opinions are my own.

It is funny how things change. Ten years ago, no one used hand sanitizer and now it is a school supply at Baltic. Every little bit helps to keep the germs away. Now if my son would only throw his dirty tissues away.
Lysol wipes were on our school supply list! If it keeps germs away from my son, I'm happy!
We're serious Lysol Wipes and sanitizer users here in my home, even though I teach my daughter at home! Kids touch so much stuff and, well, many need a bit more hygienic education if you know what I mean. This is a great program – thanks for sharing!

I love all the ways Lysol helps improve healthy in various ways and in different communities.
I always have a container of Lysol wipes handy!
Our boys teachers have these on their supply lists this year too. At home I like to keep Lysol wipes handy to stay on top of germ prevention.
i love lysol wipes they are the best.
these are awesome, not just at school but also in the workplace. I work in fuel assistance and we have lots of sick clients that come in because it takes months to get an appointment… often, we catch colds from them and even being shortstaffed a day or two really puts us behind. These are all we use at work! Also, I keep some at home and my daughter has them at school too.
I have to admit, I don't use Lysol… too expensive. I use vinegar to clean…loads better on the environment..!!!
