HydroChic Offers Modest Swimwear + UV protection

When I was asked if I wanted to do a review of some HydroChic modest swimwear pieces I was instantly intrigued.  The older I’m getting the more modest I have become in my swimwear choices, preferring to cover more of myself up when I can.  Being able to wear UV protective clothing is also a preference to slathering myself in sunscreen.

HydroChic sent me the Ruched Runner Swim Skirt and the Chlorine Proof Running Riot Swim Skort with Hidden Shorts.  The swim material is a lightweight fabric, dries quickly and has a UPF rating of 50+ (this fair skinned northern girl living in Texas is loving that!).

The colors are very brilliant and bold, and I really like that.  It just so happened that they matched very well with both the rash guard that I currently own and my tankini top as well.. bonus!

I feel like the Ruched Runner Swim Skirt should be called a capri skirt, but however one describes its style, it is extremely comfortable.  I wore it when we went out all day, sat around, lounged, did a water park and the splash pad.  Not once did I feel constricted in any way while wearing it.  

The adjustable ruching on the side of the Runner Swim Skirt, helps to keep the skirt portion down in the water I found, and also gives it cute accent as well.

The skort is also very comfy and I actually can see myself wearing it more as a regular everyday skort, than even as a swimwear piece.  Dual functionality, day wear and swimwear, that’s a good bang for your buck!  The skort surprised me.  It seems to be thicker than it actually is, it’s quite soft and doesn’t really feel like typical spandex bathing suit material, however it still dries quite fast after being wet.

I love that both pieces have a pocket in the inside at the waistband.  Whether you want to put keys in there or other things (I don’t know what, but I’m sure it’s useful for something other than keys) it’s a nice added feature.

The price tag for the items may seem high, but the quality is worth the price tag in my opinion.  I’ve always been disappointed in swimwear when I’ve skimped on quality to save on price and have found it’s usually not worth it in the end.  I have no doubt that these HydroChic items will last through a few years of use, and I honestly don’t see myself getting tired of wearing them for more than one season.

HydroChic offers a large range of sizes to fit all body types.  With smaller sizes for petite women like me to plus sizes, women of all shapes can find something that will allow them to be comfortable and have confidence while spending time at the pool or beach with their family and friends.  No longer do those who prefer to be modest or want great sun protection have to wear an over sized t-shirt or be ever vigilant on sunscreen application.  HydroChic offers swimwear that doubles as active wear in fashionable styles that women can feel good about themselves in.
