Being homeschoolers we eat lunch at home every day, and with school being out soon I thought I’d share one of our favorite lunches, a twist on the regular grilled cheese – but it’s still quick and simple to make…and kids love it!
Grilled Cheese Pizza Sandwich

Ingredients for each sandwich
2 pieces of frozen whole wheat honey bread (makes assembling the sandwiches easier)
1 tablespoon of butter or margarine
2 tablespoons of spaghetti sauce
Oregano
Basil
Shredded Mozzarella cheese
Directions
Working on a clean cutting board or flat plate, spread the butter/margarine on the outside of each slice of bread. Lay flat butter side down on your working surface and on the inside of the bread spread 1 tablespoon of spaghetti sauce on each side. Sprinkle with oregano and basil. Top the spaghetti sauce on each bread piece with Mozzarella cheese. I didn’t list an amount, you can use just enough to cover the bread surface or heap it on (like we do!). The more cheese you use, the gooier it will be (keep that in mind for smaller children). Place both sides of the breads together with the spaghetti sauce and cheese inside and the butter outside. Heat in a frying pan over medium heat for about 3 minutes a side. Cut in half and serve with raw veggies.
