Last October when we drove down to Texas, there were plenty of times we needed the air conditioner on – if only just to take the humidity out of the vehicle. The first time my husband turned it on, I had to stop to catch my breath.
It smelled like…
Well I had to think about it for a moment. I’d never actually smelled anything like that before. Ah, my daughter came up with a fairly good description – dirty socks & crayons. Not that I want to know how she came up with that, but anyway… We needed the relief of the cool air, so we endured the smell. When he got a chance to bring the car in for servicing they cleaned all the vents out and replaced the filter and it was breathable in there again!
We REALLY could have used the new Febreze CAR Vent Clips then. They are designed to deliver true odor elimination in your vehicle thanks to unique technology that eliminates odors and releases a light, fresh scent for up to 30 days if you run it on the low setting. You just clip them on to the air vent, and your car smells fresh and clean while you drive.
You can find them in the Air Care and select Auto aisles and retail for about $2.99 for one or $5.49 for two. They come in a variety of scents including Midnight Storm, Hawaiian Aloha, Meadows & Rain, Thai Dragon Fruit and my favorite Linen & Sky. More information on the entire Febreze product line can be found at www.febreze.com and www.facebook.com/febreze.
We have one clipped on to the vent in Hubby’s car right now….and one in the glove box to take its place when it runs out, because you can be sure, I’m never taking a road trip again with smelly socks & crayons.
Disclosure: I received no monetary compensation for this post; Febreze sent me a sample for review. Opinions are my own.
