It’s hard to believe that in just a few weeks, we will be changing our clocks back from Daylight Saving Time. This year the time change is on November 4 and it also marks the 25^th anniversary of the annual Change Your Clock Change Your Battery^® program. Energizer and the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) are once again working with local fire departments nationwide to raise awareness on the importance of working smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors in helping to keep families safe in their homes.

Thirty-eight percent of fatal fire injuries occur in homes with no smoke alarms, while 24 percent occur in homes in which at least one smoke alarm is present but fails to operate, frequently due to dead or missing batteries.*

Remember to change the batteries in your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors when you set your clocks back – it could help save a life.

I want to win because my little girl's night light uses batteries and is all the time needing new ones.

We go through a lot of batteries with all of our toys and I need another smoke detector for the shop.

I would like to win because I really need a new smoke detector.

I would love to win, we do not have a carbon monoxide detector and really would love one for peace of mind now that my little grandson and family moved in with me.

I don’t really prepare for emergencies. I always have a lot of shelf stable food on hand like pastas and canned goods, water and candles. But I don’t really make an effort to plan! I'd like this to help me get started!
