DSW Shoe Store Back to Class In-Store Event – DFW Saturday 8/9

In just 15 days I’m going to be dropping our daughter off at college.  I am SO NOT ready for this.  Emotionally and with all the stuff we need to get yet.  Oh I mean we already purchased the storage unit, linens, computer, etc., but she still needs her books, clothes and SHOES!

We’ll be heading out to do that this weekend since here in Texas, August 8-10 is Tax Free Weekend.  If you happen to be in the North Texas area, DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse at the Golden Triangle Mall in Denton is having a Back to Class in-store event on Saturday, August 9, 2014.

While there you’ll be introduced to the newest styles of toddler and youth shoes that are available at select DSW stores for the back to school season.  Brand names like Skechers, Nike and New Balance can be purchased at DSW for your kids’ feet.  Up to 100 different choices from infant to youth sizes are available at every store so your fashion diva, your budding track & field star and your preschooler will all be able to find a pair they love.

DSW also has a Rewards Program where you can earn points towards certificates on all children’s purchases.  Can’t complain about that!

While you learn about the new shoe fashions for your kids, they will have some fun activities to be occupied with like face painting, balloon artists, a popcorn machine, and even a photo booth!

Oh and I can’t forget to mention the prizes!  There will be giveaways for both grownups and kids.  (You must be present to win the drawings take place at 12PM and 12:30PM)  The prizes include (2) $50 DSW gift cards and a spa gift card.  

If you’re one of the first 50 in the store on Saturday, August 9th, you will receive a Shoe Lover Mug, Tote & Gift Box, and the first 50 kids in the store will receive DSW Mini Footballs.  And if you’re one of the first 50 people to make a kid’s purchase during the event you will receive a $10 card that you can use to a future DSW purchase.

Here’s an activity that you can get your kids started on before Saturday, and then bring it along for the chance at a gift basket of goodies perfect for back to school.  Download the coloring sheet below by clicking on it, print it out and have your children design a rain boot.

A team of judges will pick their favorite one from three age groups (under 4, 5 to 9 and 10 to 13), and one child from each group will win the gift basket.  *Be sure to add a parent’s name and phone number to the back of the paper before submitting.
