Many thanks to Depened for sponsoring today’s story and encouraging people to #dropyourpants for #underwareness.
Last week I got the chance to cross off another thing on my bucket list. Stomping grapes at a winery.

Leading up to that event though was…well let’s just say interesting. It involved a limo bus, wine tastings and a very bumpy highway.
Add those things in with a group of friends ready to have a good time and there was a. lot. of laughing.
I’m over 40 ya’ll, and I’ve had a child. A few glasses of wine, a bumpy road and plenty of belly laughs on a five hour road trip = light bladder leakage. Here’s proof. Check out this Facebook status from my friend at http://www.thefrugalmom.net.
I’m not embarrassed to say that a pair of Depend undergarments for bladder leakage protection, would have been useful that night. I’m at the stage of life where I do what’s best for me no matter what other people might say, think or snicker at me about it. I was more concerned about being able to “hold it all in,” and the protection of Depend would have been a nice back up plan. In reality no matter what the perception of Depend is, they are actually briefs that fit, feel and look just like regular underwear. With a cloth-like fabric they are smooth and sleek under your clothing. I could have been stomping those grapes like a maniac and no one would have been the wiser what was under my capris!
And I’m not alone. 23 million (yes million!) Americans UNDER the age of 45 experience bladder leakage. That’s why Depend has launched Drop Your Pants for Underwareness social movement and charitable cause. Depend will donate $1, up to $3 million, over the next three years to charities that advance the research, education and awareness of bladder leakage for:
– Every pant drop, photo and video shared Using #Underwareness and #DropYourPants; and
– Every personal video made about what Underwareness means to you that is uploaded to YouTube and tagged #Underwareness and #DropYourPants
Go on and visit the Underwareness landing page to join the movement and request free samples of Depend.
Do you have a funny story about a time you experienced light bladder leakage? Come on, share it with us in the comments – I “depend” on you all to bond with me over this experience 😉
I've laughed so hard I've just about peed my pants. 🙂
Its amazing as you get older how your outlook changes, you are more comfortable in your skin and don't care so much what others think.
I'm glad that there are products like these and it's not as taboo to talk about it.
I am getting older so a full bladder and a sneeze are not a good thing.
I have some problems with LBL. It's usually only when I am doing plyometric exercise though.
Ever since I had my son when I sneeze a lot I end up having a stream go down my leg. There are times when I actually end up crossing my legs when I feel a sneeze coming on!
