All right, I’ll admit it: I love food. Whether it’s a hodgepodge of leftovers thrown together for a casserole or a staged 4-course dinner, sitting down with my family and/or friends and eating said food with them; that to me is pure bliss. . . .
In this new Chicken Soup for the Soul: Food and Love – 101 Stories Celebrating Special Times with Family and Friends … and Recipes Too!, you will read about people, young and old, who took a chance, or went out on a limb, just put it all out there, to give their family or friends a meal or a dish, worth remembering how much they are loved.
For some their loved one is gone. They’ll never see them again on this Earth, which makes the memories and recipes that much more poignant. Others are just goofy stories, fun stuff to read . . . But they were all something to remember, and kept me interested from the 1st to the 101st story.
Maybe I should go and make some food now, and take notes. Maybe I’ll have something from my dinner table to share in the next installment of a Chicken Soup book?!
Chicken Soup for the Soul: Food and Love is available at book stores nationwide and online for a msrp of $14.95.
Disclosure: I received no monetary compensation for this post; Chicken Soup for the Soul sent me a sample and are providing the giveaway prizes. Opinions are my own.
