I wasn’t a tomboy growing up, but I wasn’t a ‘girly’ girl either. When I got older I had a bit of catching up to do when it came to beauty tricks and hair care since I never really had interest in those things when I was a teen.
When we first got married I was all about looking and feeling beautiful…but on a budget. Through friends, magazines and TV I learned some ways to accomplish that without breaking the bank. Here are a few of them.
1. Instead of shaving cream use hair conditioner to shave your legs.
2. Body lotions work well as make-up remover.
3. If you want moisturizing and hydration, go for the oils. Products made with almond oils, moroccan oils, coconut oils, etc. are going to keep your hair and skin, healthy and smooth.
4. To blow dry wavy hair straight hold your head upside down and dry the roots that way. It will give them more volume.
5. If your heels are dry and scaly, apply lotion to them at night and then put on a pair of cotton socks. After a few days the lizard look will be gone.

I have used conditioner often in place of shaving cream.
I had no idea body lotions worked well as a makeup remover.
Hair conditioner for shaving? What a great idea! Also, I had no idea that lotion could remove makeup. Thanks for these tips!
