Broadway Musical Disney’s Beauty and the Beast in Dallas – Celebrity Readers to Conduct Pre-show Children’s Book Readings

The nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center is pleased to be partnering with Children’s Health to bring the smash hit Broadway musical Disney’s Beauty and the Beast presented by NETworks, to Dallas’ Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House from June 22 to June 26, 2016.

In the spirit of Beauty’s book-loving heroine, during the eight-performance engagement, AT&T Performing Arts Center and Children’s Health will conduct a book drive called “Books for Belle”. Attendees are invited to visit a pop-up library in the Winspear Opera House lobby and donate a new or gently used children’s book to benefit patients and families at Children’s Health hospitals and clinics. In return, children who donate two or more books can select a book of their own from the lobby shelves to keep and read over the summer.

To further inspire and celebrate families reading together, patrons are also encouraged to arrive one hour prior to each performance and attend a reading of a family-friendly story presented by a local celebrity in the lobby. Participating celebrities will include media personalities, athletes and even the Funnyatrics Clown Troupe from Children’s Health.
