2012 is on its way out, and 2013 is what’s in, and I’m going to give you the lowdown on how you can get your chance at winning some great prizes in a fun and easy way with the ShopYourWay.com’s new Win Your Way portal.

I know many of you come to my blog to enter and win giveaways so this is right up your alley!

If you’re unfamiliar with Shop Your Way Rewards, it’s a social shopping platform. It’s free to register on, and like other popular social networking sites, you can visually track the products you are wishing for in your own themed ‘catalogs’. You can also hook up with the people you know and follow what they like and comment on each other’s items. You can see what other people are looking at and commenting on too, so you can find out on the spot what people think about the product. Plus when you shop through the community you earn rewards that can be used on future purchases.

Once you sign up for Shop Your Way Rewards, you’ll be able to access the Win Your Way portal and enter the sweepstakes they have. It’s easy to find right in the left sidebar of the site, clearly marked as “Sweepstakes.”

Then you’ll get a page that looks something like this:

You’ll see at the top on the tabs the current sweepstakes, the sweepstakes you’ve entered, plus a tab for frequently asked questions and settings. In the center you’ll see all the active sweepstakes, and it will tell you whether you’re eligible to enter them, plus the prize, how many hours remain in the sweepstakes, and how many people are currently entered. Prizes range from Shop Your Way Rewards points (which you can use towards purchases at Shop Your Way affiliated stores, every 1,000 Points is worth $1.00 in value), trips, jewelry, clothing, appliances, tools, and gadgets.

Entering the different sweepstakes is not hard, each one has a very detailed explanation of what you need to do to be entered. Some of them require a bit of time, but the prizing is definitely worth it, and the odds are pretty good on those ones too!

Take for instance this one that has 4 days remaining in it at the time of me writing this post; “TUBE TIME” where the prize is an LCD TV.

To enter you need to choose 5 accessories from the Electronics & TVs department and “Want It” – the instructions tell you how to do that if you are unsure. When you’ve read through the explanation you just click the Get Started Now and it brings up a pop up for you to click to begin. Then head over on the left sidebar to find the department you need to visit.  Then “Want the products” you like, simply by hovering over them and choosing that option.  What’s neat about this is when you “want it” it will actually add the product to your Wish List!

After you complete the task, if you go back to the sweepstakes page, you’ll see that you are “Entered” in a green text. It’s just that easy! If haven’t completed all the tasks, it will let you know how many of them you have completed, so you know how much you have left to do before you get the Entered message.

Here’s another sweepstakes on the Win Your Way Portal: Gaming on the Go. Oh yes, a lot of you have kids in the home, or grandchildren, who would love a handheld gaming system! Again this one is easy to enter with just choosing 5 games you want from the “Movies Music & Gaming” department, and then “liking” another 5 games from that department (which follows the same format as “want it”). The prize: a handheld gaming system valued at $199.99.
