This healthier cracker alternative offers endless topping possibilities; they can be used as a blank canvas for creating infinite varieties of meals and snacks that are uniquely your own and are great for entertaining or glamorizing everyday meals.
I received all three varieties to try, and I was excited about pulling them out for my family to share with our friends as we got together. I broke the Wasa flatbread out, and we had cheese to go with them, and we enjoyed a good, healthy snack.
I grew up on Wasa Crispbread. It was a staple on my mom’s shopping list. We’d often have it in our school lunches with just a bit of butter on it, or with cucumbers. I know the box says “thin” & crispy on it, but I had such a preconceived notion of Wasa from their cripsbread, that I was expecting more of that “wafflish” texture on these new flatbreads as the crispbread has.
That being said, it didn’t take long for me to decide that the flatbreads are just as good as the crispbread, and perhaps even better! I say that because my family won’t touch the crispbread, because they don’t care for the texture of it, but they thought the flatbreads were tasty good.
Not surprisingly they liked the Original best, but I really really liked the Sesame variety. It has that ‘nutty’ flavor you’re expecting, with just a hint of herbs, and the bonus is you don’t get all those little seeds getting stuck in between your teeth!
