Taco Cabana Spices Up Its Signature Salsa Bar With the New Salsa Crema

Taco Cabana launched its newest chef-created salsa in its “Salsa Especial!” program.   Homemade in-store every day, Salsa Crèma is a blend of tomatoes, jalapenos and cilantro mixed with sour cream that adds cool spice to any Taco Cabana favorite.  Salsa Crèma was available beginning Nov. 24 and is for a limited time only.

The “Salsa Especial!” program expands Taco Cabana’s famous menu of made-from-scratch salsas on its salsa bar and the program will introduce a new handmade, chef-inspired salsa to Taco Cabana fans every six to eight weeks. Salsa Crèma is the third in the lineup, following Roasted Tomatillo and Avocado Cilantro.

Taco Cabana graciously hosted my husband and I for a meal last week to try the Salsa Crèma.  It was our first visit to Taco Cabana (I know all you DFW residents are shaking your heads and saying, what took you so long?!) and it was really good, and also worth noting really affordable.

I was not disappointed at all with the Salsa Crèma, it was just as described a cool spice that I eagerly dipped my husand’s chips in 🙂  What’s great about a lot of the offerings on Taco Cabana’s menu is that you can top them off the way you please at the Salsa Bar.

My husband isn’t big on “stuff” in his food, so Taco Cabana is a good compromise for us.  I can have my enchilada plate, with guacamole, rice and refried beans and he can have a plain brisket combo and add just what he wants to it without making it too spicy or ‘foreign’ for his tastebuds 🙂

I know we’ll be making Taco Cabana our Mexican fast food stop from this point on since it complements our family so well with the freshly made chips, tortillas and the salsa bar that we can add to make our menu items to suit our own tastes.

Keep watching the blog for more Taco Cabana news soon…and there may even be a giveaway for you all!
