Do you see my ticker at the top of my blog….yep a countdown to the happiest place on earth….well actually it’s the second happiest place. The happiest place is the Disney Magic Cruise ship (at least for now….they are building two new ones, and the Magic just might be replaced in my heart).
We are counting down to three days in Disney World (for Genius), and 7 days on the Disney Magic headed to the Eastern Caribbean. We’ve done that one already, and have taken the Western route once as well.
The thing we really like about the ship is that it is so family friendly (there are adult only areas of the ship though, for those who want, and it is strictly enforced). And the small touches that you find around the ship like this one!
Just as early as yesterday I sat in our recliner in front of the screen door, as the sun was going down with the breeze on my skin and the sun warming my feet, trying to imagine I was on Deck 4, in the teak lounge chairs of the Magic, when I opened my eyes, and saw nothing but cement. Ah well, I believe the ticker says 6 months and 6 days as of today.
Each cruise ends with a day on Disney’s private island in the Bahamas, Castaway Cay, where there is something for everyone to do, as well as…the real Flying Dutchman from the Pirates of the Caribbean movie.
Enough of my travelogue, check it out for yourself! Plan a trip — you won’t be sorry!
