Master Lock recently launched a program called “Master Love Locks” allowing sweethearts, family and friends to virtually lock up their affection for loved ones on various iconic bridges throughout the world by visiting MasterLoveLock.com.
“Padlocks have been recognized as symbols of strength and security for decades, which makes the love locks tradition such a heartfelt gesture,” said Rebecca Smith vice president, marketing, for Master Lock. “With the launch of www.MasterLoveLock.com and our commitment to the American Heart Association, supporters can make their own declaration of affection and in doing so, show others a little love by increasing our donation to a good cause.”
Master Lock is also donating an initial $10,000 to the American Heart Association and pledged to donate an additional dollar for every heart lock created and sent through MasterLoveLock.com until December 31, 2012.
Now that’s something to stand behind! I sent a love lock to my husband, here’s a look at how it turned out.
You can do this too! Head to www.MasterLoveLock.com and virtually lock up your affection for a loved one, or memorialize a loved one on various iconic bridges throughout the world in four easy steps – no travel required!
Select a lock, choose a bridge to secure your lock to, if you choose you can upload a private photo, and then write a message for your loved one. To officially “lock-up” your love, the customized love lock invitation is sent to your recipient via email. If your love lock is honoring someone no longer with you, send the invitation to yourself for acceptance. Once the invitation is accepted, the love lock and message (not the private photo), are posted on on the site’s public gallery, securing the symbol of endearment forever.
I’m really proud to be a Live Secure Safety Squad member right now! My husband’s family has been ravaged by Heart Disease. Both my husband’s parents succumbed to it, and his brother also has congestive heart failure. So Master Lock donating dollars on behalf of ‘locking up my loves’ is a wonderful thing.
The Limited edition love lock would make a great stocking stuffer. It’s good for luggage and travel, backpacks, computer bags and cabinets. It’s only $4.99 plus FREE shipping! It’s an inexpensive way to show your love this holiday season.
Tammy Litke as part of the Master Lock Live Secure Safety Squad has received products for her family to use in their home for their safety and security. Any opinions she shares in posts related to the Live Security Squad and Master Lock are her own and aren’t influenced by products she’s received.
Win a Limited edition love lock for yourself by leaving a comment with who you would show love to by ‘padlocking’ a bridge.
