Fairy tales never grow old.  They can be retold a thousand times and there is always another way to tell them.  As of late, the big screen have been showing many more ‘live action’ versions of our favorites, and many of them with a bit darker of a twist than the animated versions usually offer.

Disney began production last week on “Maleficent”, which is slated for theaters in March of …2014…well yeah we have a while to wait for this one!  And it will pop (as in it will be in 3D).

Here we have the story of Sleeping Beauty, but not of the princess…but of the villain.  The background to this are the events that hardened her heart and then drove her to curse Princess Aurora.

And I must say the casting decision of Angelina Jolie as Maleficent…pretty good one.
