Johnson’s Baby Oil–It’s Not Just For Babies

I can’t believe it’s December already.  I feel like summer just ended, okay not really, but it has been a super nice winter for us in the Northern Plains so far, something that rarely happens.

Generally you combine cold weather with wicked winds here which results in dry, flakey, itchy skin.

Recognizing the need to keep my skin baby soft, Mom Central thankfully chose me to be one of the bloggers for the Johnson’s Baby Oil blog tour.  That’s right it’s not just for babies!

I received three products from the line in the Shea & Cocoa Butter variety, the Johnson’s Baby Oil, Johnson’s Baby Oil Gel and Johnsons’ Creamy Oil.

The Shea & Cocoa Butter helps to soothe and protect skin.  And since all of Johnson’s products are dermatologist and allergy-tested, you can feel confident using them on even the most sensitive skin.

My #1 Favorite of the three…the Baby Oil Gel.  This was not just my favorite of the three, it’s now become one of my all time favorite products period.  I love everything about this gel – the scent, the way it locks in moisture, the fact that it’s not as messy as the liquid, and did I mention the scent (oh yeah I did!)?  It smells like you just came home from the beach, which is no easy feat here in landlocked SD, even in the middle of summer, much less the winter!

They suggest on the packaging that you use it when you step out of the shower, while your skin is still wet.  So that’s what I did.  It’s a little strange actually to do that when you’re used to toweling off right away.  You will notice though that the action of rubbing the gel in, helps dry you off as well, so that by the time you’re done, you just need a quick pat down with the towel and you’re dry anyway.

My skin stays silky soft for hours after using it, although the scent does wear off (cry…).
