I’ve always been a frugal shopper; clipping coupons, shopping sales – if friends or family want something for the best price, I’m usually one of the first people they come to asking where they can score a deal on what they’re looking for. The rising cost of, well pretty much everything, has me checking out resources on where to save a bit more here, and get a little bit more income there.
Blogging is actually fairly new to me, I’ve been doing it for 4 1/2 years, but before that back in the early 2000’s I was all over the internet, back in its heyday glory, when companies and brands were literally ‘throwing’ money and products at people.
As everyone knows the purse strings all over the place are getting tighter now, and many people seem to think that saving money in nickels and dimes is too much hassle. But not me, I know that those quarters and dimes and even pennies add up, and really can help your household, whether it’s for necessities or extras. I was overjoyed when I found out about Jingit, an online site that allows you to engage with brands…and they pay you for it! Now I think that’s a deal.
Earn Money for yourself while engaging with brands with Jingit.
It’s super easy to get started. You head to their sign up page (here: https://www.jingit.com/home/). Use Facebook to log in, and then you’re ready to watch ads and answer some questions. The bonus – they’re going to pay you to do it!
Learning about brands and their products can be rewarding! I mean if you’re watching live TV, unless you get up to leave the room, you’re held captive to the commercials, really when you think about it, you’re paying your cable company to show you ads! Why not essentially do the same thing with #jingit, but earn some money while you’re at it! 12¢ here and 25¢ there starts adding up, this is the way it should be done. Not just that, but the brands that are using Jingit, they WANT your input. They want to know what you’re thinking – that to me is important too.
The videos and ads also sometimes have ‘tips’ or other offers for you. Take for instance the S’mores ad. When you complete it, it asks you if you were aware that Kraft has a Pinterest page. If you didn’t know that, they have a little banner on the side that you can click on to be taken there, to get S’more (ha ha!) Recipes.
You can keep track of how much each ad is paying you in the top right hand corner of the screen (you can see it in these pictures), it tells you what you are “Now Earning” so in the above S’mores ad I earned 10¢ to watch it and answer the questions. Also you can see in that upper corner your balance, which will grow and grow with the more brands you engage with.
Elmer’s video ad is focused on the 1st Day of School. Ah the memories, nostalgic, weepy eyed, and exciting for moms (some of those emotions all at once!). When you complete the video, you are asked if you downloaded the Elmer’s 1st Day of School Photo App? Oooh another app – how exciting (especially for us app junkies), this I must check out (see… brands engaging with me, me getting paid, me also learning about something new – EVERYBODY wins!).
Want to earn even more? Then you can download the Jingit mobile app and check in at local stores. Complete the check ins by interacting with the brand products and your app.
I also like that Jingit and the brands they work with, give back. I was able to use the mobile app to check in and trigger a donation to Feeding America.
How to cash out with Jingit.
Once you’ve earned all this money with Jingit, how are you going to collect it? You have two options, you can either cash out your funds and get music downloads,
OR after you accumulate $3.00 in earnings you can get a Jingit Visa Debit Card, where you can add the money you earn with Jingit on to it, and then spend it anywhere Visa is accepted.
Why $3.00? Well because the card is issued by a bank there is a fee to receive it, but you can use your first $3.00 in earnings to pay for that fee. You’ll also have to supply your Social Security Number to obtain a card due to federal banking regulations, but it’s all safe and secure, and a great way to transfer money from what you make using Jingit to a card you can use in a lot of places.
All in all I’ve had a good experience using Jingit. The only thing I’ve had trouble with is that for me, I couldn’t open the online site with the Safari browser. It’s not that big of an issue, I simply went to the site using FireFox after trying a couple of times in Safari and being redirected to the login screen. But I just wanted to point that out to you, in case you want to sign up and have problems. Try it again in a different browser and you’ll probably get it to work.

I have loved Jingit ever since it started. It's really a great way to tuck away a little money for special occassions. My husband and I use it for our anniversary dinner.
That money really does add up!
I love Jingit! Which thank you for your post, it's reminding me to go see if there is any money I can make today! Yippee!
