How to Create an Easy Cinco de Mayo Bento Lunch for Kids

Thank you to Fruit Shoot for sponsoring today’s post and encouraging me to share a creative way to prep a fun lunches for kids!

I have a few blogging friends that are SO creative, they make these incredibly cute and healthy Bento Box lunches for their children to take to school (or even to eat at home!).  I was lucky if I remembered to take the ice pack out of the freezer or pack a spoon for the yogurt when I was making lunches for Amber…

But today I’m beaming from ear to ear because I think I nailed a cute Cinco de Mayo Bento Box idea for you guys to run with, make all your own and one up me on (because admittedly I just don’t have the supplies to make it as awesome as it could be like those seasoned Bento moms).  How fun would it be to pack something like this in their lunches on May 5th?

What we have here folks is a couple of taquitos (these ones happen to be nacho cheese flavored),

Taquitos

some strawberry/tortilla chip sombreros (just use a bit of honey to stick the strawberries to the chips),

strawberry sombreros

grape/pretzel maracas,

grape and pretzel maracas

and a piñata filled with cheese confetti with a pretzel stick to knock it open with.

Confetti Cheese Pinata

That’s quite the fiesta!  And if I can do it, anyone can do it!

Gotta have something to wash it down with too, and a colorful bottle of Fruit Shoot Berry Burst will keep the hydration and the party on the taste buds going!

Spilling out of a piñata is great – spilling out of a juice container… not so much, making the new no-spill cap on the Fruit Shoot bottles an awesome addition.  Fruit Shoot is naturally flavored and has no HFCS in it.  The vibrant fun colored bottles come in these tasty flavors:  Orange, Apple, Berry Burst, and Strawberry/Raspberry – a great addition to a Cinco de Mayo themed lunch or any day of the year!
