Holiday Food Gifts from Collin Street Bakery + Free Shipping Offer

Back in spring I did a review of  Collin Street Bakery’s Praline Pecan Cheesecake.  It was SO tasty, and so when they contacted me to share about them again with y’all I had to say yes!

You may have heard of Collin Street Bakery before.  They’ve been featured on The Food Network, The Chew and their Pumpkin Cake is requested every Autumn at the White House when the Holidays approach!

Leading up to the holidays is usually a crazy time for everyone.  Between activities, school, work, and decorating, folks have a hard time keeping up with everything.  Before you know it Thanksgiving or Christmas has crept up on you and you’re still missing that one last gift or you don’t have time to bake for that potluck or function you said you’d bring a dessert for.  So why not take care of that now and let Collin Street Bakery in Corsicana, Texas do the work for you, and make you look really good (I mean really good).

I don’t know how you feel about ordering things like baked goods online for gifts but I get worried when I order from a place I don’t know. I always feel like I am going to spend a lot of money on something that’s going to taste like cardboard. I invariably end up humming and hawing about the purchase… and then miss out on ordering anything at all because I waited too long.

You don’t have to be nervous about ordering from Collin Street Bakery.  I mean, THE WHITE HOUSE requests their baking.  I’m pretty sure they’re kind of picky about what they serve to their guests.   And while I’m not a fan of fruitcake their world-famous DeLuxe® Fruitcake has been a favorite since 1896.  The fact that people are still buying it 119 years later says something, don’t you think?!

Seriously I don’t think you could go wrong with anything they bake, but I’m personally suggesting their Apple Cinnamon Pecan Cake.

I probably don’t even have to write any more, I bet most of you are already drooling over that.

Chunks of apples from the state of Washington are glaceed to bring out their essence. After they’re sprinkled with cinnamon, they’re folded into Collin Street Bakery’s unique honey batter and smothered with native Texas pecans. And just before each cake is popped in the oven, each cake is hand decorated with a generous topping of pecan halves and slivered almonds. The Regular size is 1 lb. 14 oz., and serves 16-20 guests.

A little of this cake goes a long way.  It’s dense, but moist and it is FULL of good stuff.  It is delicious!  We’re going to a party this week and I asked my husband if I should bring the rest of the cake along with us for it.  He was not up for that suggestion at all, wanting to keep it all to himself 🙂

The tin it comes in is perfect for gift giving.  Kept refrigerated, it will stay moist and tasty for months.

Collin Street Bakery doesn’t ship just within the country but also internationally, and the holidays are their busiest time.  So if you’re interested in ordering any of their products as a gift or for yourself you need to get on it!  Their standard shipping deadline is November 12 and the express shipping deadline is November 23.  But here’s a bonus for you!  Collin Street Bakery is giving my readers a break on some shipping charges!  You can:
