If you’ve ever seen the packages of Hawaiian Kettle Style Potato Chips on the store shelves you’ve probably noticed that they ‘pop’ with bright colors and distinctive artwork. You could be a part of that legacy!
Through to October 31, 2011, adult residents of the United States and the District of Columbia can take up the challenge to create an original design for a Hawaiian Kettle Style Potato Chips t-shirt. Then the winning design will be made – and people all over the country could be sporting your artwork!
“We want people to use the unique, colorful, tropical artwork that appears on the Hawaiian Kettle Style Potato Chips packaging as inspiration for their own design” says Terri Barberi, Brand Development Manager in the Specialty Foods Division of Pinncle Foods, Corp., marketers of the Hawaaian brand. “What we’re looking for is original artwork that takes a nod from the designs we’ve created to bring the laid back feel and taste of Hawaii to life.”
It’s so easy to enter. You can submit an original t-shirt design by going to www.hawaiianbrandsnacks.com and clicking on the “Hot Hawaiian T-Shirt Design Contest” banner. The Official Rules and complete entry form are available there to read. Six entries will be selected by a panel of judges from Hawaiian Kettle Style Potato Chips based on the laid out criteria and will be posted on their website around November 15th until November 30th where consumers can vote for their favorite.
In addition to bragging rights the Grand Prize winner will also receive a trip to Hawaii or a $5000 cash prize! So check it out you just might be laying on a beach in Hawaii next year if you win!
I got to sample a couple of the flavors of the Hawaiian Kettle Style Potato Chips – and I have to say I love the bold flavors and the crispy crunch. The Sweet Maui Onion flavor is my personal favorite.
Hawaiian Kettle Style Potato Chips are available in a range of sizes including 2 oz bags, 8 oz bags and 16 oz bags. (SRP 99¢ – $5.29) The larger bags are a bit on the pricey side, but for the Sweet Maui Onion flavor I would be willing to purchase them, because I think it is a unique flavor that isn’t duplicated on other brands of chips.
These chips are “Lolo ‘Ono”!! Plenty of flavor and lots of crunch. If you are asked to bring chips to a gathering some time, or are having friends over and just serving snacks, but want to impress their taste buds, I would recommend these.
