My friend Virginia over at That Bald Chick let me know about a campaign she is working on, and I thought it was pretty neat. It is the Get Carded Challenge by Hallmark. When I heard about it, I decided I want to take on the challenge myself!
My challenge was to send seven cards in seven days to seven people who are important to me! I thought it would be a fun challenge to help me connect and reconnect with loved ones.
Hallmark sent me 10 cards to use and stamps to mail them, so I had NO excuse not to follow through on it. I think I did pretty well 🙂 I sent the cards out to various people, an old high school friend that I re-connected with a few years ago, my sister-in-law that I have only met a few times due to distance, a cousin, and a fellow blogger among them. I got so caught up in the card mailing, that I went out and bought one more to send to my parents!
Over the years, customers have shared with Hallmark at how good it feels to give and receive handwriten cards. That sentiment holds true to both myself and those I sent the cards to. Once my recepients received their cards I heard that phrase “Your card made my day!”, which in turn also made MY day. It’s hard not to smile when you put a smile on someone else’s face!
So how about it, are you up to take part in Hallmark’s Get Carded Challenge? To start you off you can use the discount code BLOG30 to buy cards for 30% off on Hallmark.com throughout the year.
If you’re a blogger yourself and you’re intrigued, you can sign up to take the Get Carded Challenge, visit the Get Carded Challenge page to see the criteria and if you meet it, complete the form to apply.
Tammy Litke received media samples of Hallmark cards and stamps to complete this challenge. Regardless of those samples… she really does care enough to send the very best, so any opinions in this post weren’t influenced by any product samples she received.
One reader though will get some Hallmark cards delivered right to their door, so they in turn can send them to someone else!
