I received a complimentary online membership to Weight Watchers 360°. All opinions stated are my own.
People following the Weight Watchers plan can expect to lose 1-2 pounds per week.
11 years ago somehow I recognized that I was in a bad place health wise though many others would never have pointed it out to me, I knew that if I didn’t change something I was on the road to disease. Diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol…. I did some soul searching and some research, and thought that Weight Watchers Online would be an ideal program for me to follow, and as I looked at the most precious people in the world to me, I was hoping that the program would work and I would be able to get healthier not just for me but for them as well.
And it did, my hopes became reality and by following the Weight Watchers program and incorporating exercise into my daily routine, I lost 30 pounds in six months.
That’s why I always recommend it to people who ask me how they can lose weight.
And that’s also why I’m starting the program again. The thing about losing weight is, once it’s gone…well you have to work at keeping it off. I did really well for a lot of years following my initial weight loss. But sometimes you just start picking up bad habits again. Well at least in my case I have. I’ve gotten into a habit of not exercising daily, of not counting points, of not drinking enough fluids, of not portioning out my foods….and as 40 is knocking on my door in less than six months, I know I need the accountability of the Weight Watchers program to stay on track.
This time it’s a bit different though.
As Weight Watchers embarks on its 50th anniversary in 2013, they are changing their program to go beyond tracking points. Their new program, aptly called Weight Watchers 360°, is a breakthrough approach that challenges members to not only track their food intake (PointsPlus), but also to manage those daily routines and spaces that sabotage weight loss.
Sound like just what I need!
Especially right now in the midst of our move, because lately food quality and proper nutrition has been a low priority around here. So now I’ll have a place to not just track my food intake but with the Spaces feature I can create and commit to an action plan and bookmark tips for home, shopping, workplace, eating out, travel and occasions. Plus I can choose three routines (from 16 that are available) to follow every day (e.g., get 7 to 8 hours of sleep <– which is a great one because that’s something I really struggle with and know it is unhealthy) and I can record my successes daily.
Even better…the Weight Watchers 360º online program also comes with a free mobile app. So I’ll have no excuse even between vacating our current home and before settling in our new one and I’m homeless without my computer, I can still access all I need to and track on my phone with the app!
So I signed up today, input my stats, set my goal weight, got my target point values and am raring to go!
I will share with you over the next couple of months how I’m doing with the program, the results I’m seeing, how it’s keeping me accountable and the neat features of Weight Watchers 360º that are helping me on this journey to staying healthy.
Have you ever tried the Weight Watchers program over the last 50 years?
