French Toast Waffles

Ingredients
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 Tbsp margarine, melted
  • 1 Tbsp Caramel Syrup (the kind you use in coffee)
  • 2 eggs
  • 8 slices of thickly cut bread (day old or frozen)
Instructions
  1. Whisk together milk, sugar, margarine, syrup and eggs.
  2. Place bread slices in a shallow dish or pan with edges and pour mixture over top. Let stand 2 minutes, turn bread and let stand another 3 minutes.
  3. Preheat waffle iron and then coat with non-stick spray.
  4. Place 2 bread slices on waffle iron. Cook 4 minutes.
  5. Repeat with the rest of the bread slices.
